Braves Trade For Veteran Closer

In a last-minute trade before the 2022 deadline

the Atlanta Braves are reportedly acquiring veteran closer Raisel Iglesias from the Los Angeles Angels.

In exchange for Iglesias, the Braves are sending third-year lefty Tucker Davidson and seasoned right-hander Jesse Chavez to LA.

A Braves supporter commented, "Gonna miss old man Jesse Chavez in the sixth and seventh innings, but love this deal

Iglesias' season record is 2-6 with a 4.04 ERA through 39 games and 35.2 innings pitched.

Despite having a strong Year 1 in 2021, the 32-year-old right-hander was having trouble in his second season with Los Angeles

Through four games and 15.1 innings pitched for the Braves this season, Davidson's ERA was at 6.46.
