College Football World Reacts To Death Of Former Georgia Star

Lars Tate, a former Georgia Bulldogs player, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 56 in his St. Petersburg, Florida, home.

Although his cause of death has not been determined, he was just diagnosed with cancer and was in "deteriorating health

Tate was a founding member of the Georgia backfield, which gave the squad the moniker "Running Back College

Tate led the Bulldogs in rushing in 1986 and 1987 with "Four Horsemen."

When I learned of Lars Tate's passing, I was quite upset.

"A DGD may rest in peace. We send our prayers to the Tate family! There are 32 days till kickoff, and number 32 is already in heaven!" additional added

"RIP Lars Tate. Taken from us way too early," another added.
