Iman Shumpert arrested for cannabis possession at Texas airport

Iman Shumpert, a former NBA player, was taken into custody on Saturday afternoon at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport for marijuana possession.

He attempted to go past airport security with six ounces of marijuana in a backpack before boarding a trip to Los Angeles

according to the DFW Airport Department of Public Safety, as reported by the Associated Press.

From the TSA checkpoint, Shumpert was transported to the DFW Airport prison.

Iman Shumpert, a former NBA player, was detained last weekend at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport after reportedly attempting to pass six ounces of marijuana through security.

In 2016, Shumpert played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and won an NBA championship

He also participated in basketball for the Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings, and New York Knicks. The Nets released him in 2021.
