NASCAR Chicago Street Race: See the Course for the 2023 Race

For the first time in its 75-year history, NASCAR has announced a  street race -- and it'll take place in downtown Chicago in 2023.

Drivers will pass by some of the city's most well-known attractions throughout the 2.2-mile course,

including Grant Park, Buckingham Fountain, the Chicago Field Museum, and more.

The event is set for July 1 and 2, 2023. Here is a complete map of the NASCAR-recommended course layout along with a turn-by-turn description.

The race will pass the renowned Buckingham Fountain as it runs down a two-block stretch of South Columbus Drive, which will house the front straightaway and pit road.

Turn One: The drivers will hang a left onto East Balbo Drive, heading toward Lake Michigan.

Turn Two: Drivers will then turn right onto the southbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive,
