Rebekah Vardy loses Wagatha Christie libel trial against Coleen Rooney

Rebekah Vardy's "Wagatha Christie" libel case against Coleen Rooney was unsuccessful because to a widely shared social media post.

The wife of England's all-time leading scorer Wayne Rooney, Rooney, was accused of giving the media personal information about her

and Vardy, the wife of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, took Rooney to court.

In a written decision on Friday, Judge Karen Steyn deemed Rooney's claim to be "basically true."

In the British tabloids, footballers' girlfriends and wives are referred to as WAGs.

Wagatha Christie is the name of a well-known author of detective novels.

The case has reportedly cost each side more than £1 million pounds in legal fees.
